Hi members! For those of you who dont know me yet my name is Jon-Mark Davey and Im a photographer and videographer. Ive been shooting stills and video for over 40 years, started as a kid (about 3 .. jk ;-). I believe that I got the photo bug from my father who, although a pastor, also considered himself a photographer, although he shot with a single frame 4 x 5 Grayflex camera that he taught me to load and unload sheet film in the darkroom. How cameras and photography has changed!!! Basically, Ive carried a camera around with me for 40 years taking a lot of pictures, although Ive still shot more video than stills. I love happy pictures. Sunny Gator was captured as I was laying next to him at Loxahatchee, a practice I dont promote. The original picture is very good but Sunny is smiling and smiling needs a super warm, comforting feel and there is nothing more comforting than the glow of the sun. So, using DAP and Photo Reactor along with some digital hand painting, I transformed a pretty cool shot of an Alligator into a warm, welcoming, smiling, picture --- I think. What do you think?
