Hi members, this post is just to remind you all about the purpose of Sunshine Coast Pay it Forward and that is to help those that are in need by providing everyday items that they may not be able to afford. I am writing this post as Ive started to notice that the page is beginning to drift into more of a Things for Free page which is not its intention. SO PLEASE remember, when youre asking for an item to think Is this an essential and do I really need it?. I will be reminding all admin (including myself) to refocus on the pages purpose and to think twice before approving posts so that we can ensure that the page stays on track and that people are only asking for what they need. If things that may not be considered an essential are advertised for free on the page, then by all means go ahead and grab it if its what youre after but we ask that if youre wanting an item rather than needing it to please ask for it on another page that is better suited. Also, if your post was rejected by admin, please consider the following: 1. Did you use your manners? (Manners are FREE and go a long way) 2. Was the item a need? 3. Have you asked for more than 3 items in your post? 4. Have you already gone over your 3 item per week limit? 5. Was the post relevant to our page? (Eg- advertising a job, seeking opinions, requiring university placements etc are all posts that are better suited to facebook pages such as the Sunny Coast Community Board). I wrote this rule about 9 months ago when the page first begun and think it still applies perfectly to the purpose of our page and that is: Remember to give back to the community and PAY IT FORWARD & be RESPECTFUL. Take only what you need and DONT BE GREEDY :) Thank you for being apart of not only a great page but a great community, lets continue to grow together and support each other the way this page intends us to! (That may be a little corny but sums it up perfectly :P )
