Hi my name is Eric, I live in western Australia. I am trying to find my birth family. My mothers name was Lena ( ellenor) Francis McGhie. She married a man by the name of Fry and lived near Armadale. They had two girls , Noreen and janette . I have found out that they were taken into foster care at some point . They stayed with my mothers sister Auntydawn. I believe that my mother and her husband separated. My mother then met my father kevin james Outram. They were only together a short time and was inprisoned at Fremantle. My mother was also arrested for stealing and i was approximately 10 months old (1963). I was made a ward of the state and went to n.a.g.a.l.a home for children and at about 3 years got fostered by the family that bought me up. I have tried to locate my mother , I have been told by centerlink that the last record of her was in 1977 , she was using the name of her partner at the time Mr James Swain and they were moving interstate. I found out in about 2001 under the freedom of information act that not only do i have 2 older sisters , i also have one younger half brother and sister. Born Eric William Nocton and sheralee nocton born Northam western Australia. I also found out that thier dad died in auto accident about the same day. I have tried serching for these names as well. Because of the privacy act that was up dated when freedom act was updated. I can not get any information on these people unless they are dead with death certificate or i have a letter of consent from them. No win.
