Hi my name is Tucker! I was found by a friend crying in his backyard. I was then brought to a neighbors house and they fed me mamas milk replacement, bathed me and kept me warm and fed every few hours! I was then brought to my second foster mommies home to complete the feedings till I was old enough to be fed regular kitten food! I was taken to a vet who tested me waaaaay too early (at about 3 weeks old) and diagnosed me with Feline Leukemia. He also suggested to euthanize me! Its a good thing we did not listen to that vet and had lil Tucker retested at the proper age with is at least 8 weeks old because I retested NEGATIVE! Was it a false positive? Did the proper nutrition at such a vital stage in his life help him to build the antibodies to overcome this diagnosis? Tucker has been adopted by the second fosters daughter who fell in love with him the minute she laid eyes on him! Tucker now has two cat siblings, a human sister and two parents who just adore him! Moral of this story...Do not test too early and always RETEST at the right age or you can get a false positive!
