Hi, my other idea was to acquire a Nissan pick-up from the 80s, because this Z 24 4 cylinder engine was pretty tough and was actually cut off 6 cylinder engine from the 240Z car. Heres the reason why I like this engine so much, this engine had 8 spark plugs and a Hemispherical Combustion Chamber with an overhead cam and a steel timing chain and gears, I ran mine with Mobil 1 and Tuffoil engine treatment and saw it to be a great 4 banger with pretty decent pick up and power. I understand that more spark is always being pursued and how about 100% more from the factory, might be a place to start a build. Wish I still had mine but its long gone now, food for thought. Im putting my two ideas out there to you folks in case you have one of these types of engines available to you to try out my ideas cheaply. If you do I would like to know how it worked out for you, thanks.
