Thank you Lord for that opportunity, please help my heart feeling so heavy. Thank you Lord. Amen. Please read below email: Dear Elizabeth, You’ve been nominated to become a Cherie Blair Foundation Mentee by the US Department of State! Register by 23 March to confirm your place. Congratulations! The US Department of State has nominated you for the Mentoring Women in Business Programme with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. They believe you have the commitment, ideas and passion to make the most out of the opportunity and represent your country well. The Mentoring Programme offers membership in a global community and one year of business support to women entrepreneurs through online mentoring. It is a great opportunity to build your business, skills, networks and profile. What the Mentoring Women in Business Programme offers Starting in May 2014, you could receive one year of personalised business support that is tailored to your needs and goals. If successful, you will be matched with an accomplished mentor who has expertise in the areas you’d like to work on. You will work one-on-one with your mentor for two hours each month from May 2014 until May 2015. You’ll have access to trainings, resources and advice from experts. You’ll become part of a supportive community of over 1,800 accomplished, inspirational entrepreneurs and professionals from around the world. The programme is all done online, which allows for great flexibility and freedom. There is no charge for this programme; all you need is a commitment to your mentoring relationship and business. What does it take to join? This programme is suitable for women entrepreneurs at all different stages and in every sector. Some participants have businesses with 50+ employees and have been in operation for decades. Others are just starting out or are running their businesses on their own. Mentoring is useful throughout your entrepreneurial journey! The key to success is in your commitment. You must be running (or about to launch) a business, able to access the internet weekly and meet with your mentor online, proficient in English and passionate about working on your business goals with your mentor. You must be able to commit for one year, from May 2014 to May 2015, and able to meet online at least two hours a month during that time using Skype, Google Hangouts, etc. The benefits are immense! Mentoring provides a learning opportunity for you and a growth opportunity for your business. Mentees have gained new skills and business contacts, launched new products, built websites, refined business and financial plans, kept their enterprises from going under, obtained financing, tapped into a support system, built rewarding relationships with their mentors and achieved goals that are tailored to their own businesses. There are also endless opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing with other participants. The women in this programme come from over 55 countries. They are running enterprises in a variety of sectors and at many different stages and sizes. Mentors come from over 45 different countries and bring expertise and diverse perspectives on board.
