Hi, so I was wondering - for those of you who are macro nutrient - TopicsExpress

Hi, so I was wondering - for those of you who are macro nutrient conscious - what is the ratio of your macros? I do consciously log everything to a diary that keeps track of my nutrients and I have no idea what would be suitable for me as a vegan. Somewhere I read that this ratio is very suitable - 50% carbohydrates - 25% fats - 25% protein For some time I stuck with this but I kept going over my carbohydrate allowance and under my protein goal. So I put a higher ratio of carbs but I kept feeling bad because of all the bad reputation carbohydrates get. On the other hand; so many raw (high carb) vegans are feeling and looking their best. I just want to know what is suitable for me? I just want to declare that I am not really trying to lose weight, I am just trying to maintain and help me stay healthy and feeling great in my body. Im quite a new vegan (four months) and quite young as well, 15 to be precise so I still live with my family (which are not showing much support at all). Under my current circumstances I cannot be a raw vegan, as much as Id like that (expenses, lack of independence, living at home, lack of support etc). There are not grown fruits in my country due to the cold climate so theyre a bit more expensive. But I still would like to know what suits best for me? My fat and protein intake isnt very high, but my carbohydrate intake is. This tells me that my body probably craves carbohydrates more than anything me being an athlete - but I feel like that ratio is more suitable for raw vegans. I feel like I would gain weight or feel bad in my body should I eat at that ratio? Any suggestions? What ratio do you eat at and how does it make you feel? Id really love to know. I am very weight conscious and Im trying to wean off it and I feel like finding a ratio that makes me satisfied will be a sort of step towards accepting myself and all that. Thank you and Im happy I can go here for support.
