Hi, the wonderful and unique friends in the name of God. I always appreciate your good friendship. In the book of Joshua 1:1-7 The Lord commands Joshua .God understood that the main things which would hinder Joshua from leading the Israelites to the promised Land was FEAR. . Fear has stopped many pple from accessing their promised land and sing their victory songs. In this life we live in you have seen pple living miserably because they fear trying better things. So my good friends check the kind of friends you spend your time with because , one s character is the average of the character of one five friends. If you find out that your five friends are broke like you, then u are in a wrong company. If u walk & associate with the unwise , you do not necessarily make them wise, but they instead affect you and u end up a fool. Be careful that you dont associate with those that have decided to go down when you are determined to go up in life. Fear is destroying great minds . Fear is causing many pple to be buried with great dreams unfulfilled. Proverbs 24: 6 For though a righteous man falls seven times , he rise again. THE FEAR OF CRITICIM Many pple die with unfulfilled dreams and powerful ideas beacause they fear what their relatives or friends and associate will say a bout them. A Person who is filled with this kind of fear will shun working to achieve his dream for fear of being criticized. Get to know that when pple backbite or criticize you , you are already a head of them. You should learn not to melt or freeze because there are a few pple who have specialized in criticizing and backbiting you. You should know that pple will never speak of you if you are not doing something of value. If u want pple not to talk about you, then do nothing in life, but to ua surprise, they will still criticize u for doing nothing. You need to live knowing that the shortest way to failure is trying to please everybody. I once read interesting story of a man who parked his old car in the yard for several years without driving it. Then the dogs made a home inside the car. One day he decided to call for a mechanic to repair it .When he started the engine and drove off , the dogs started to bark. The man did not shrink or get surprised because he learnt not to fear things that gave him encouragement . He learnt a few things a bout the barking dogs ; Barking dogs dogs seldom bite. The dogs that were barking were out and not inside the car. They barked from behind and could not stop the car from moving. In spite of their barking , the ca still moved on. They might have been barking because they were a afraid of being knocked down by this car. The most interesting thing was that they could not bark the whole day. He also learned that if he could have stopped to accelerate , the dogs would wonder ; for other cars which they had barked at never stopped. Since this man could not understand the dogs language , he just imagined that they were wishing him a safe journey , anyway. The same thing happens to backbiters or the people who criticize us. They will always criticize an idea whose source they do not know. They will talk against you whenever you embark on a new, constructive project. But remember you cannot start rising without feeling the effect of the force of gravity.
