Hi there. I have a reminder for parents that are getting ready for parent/teacher conferences. Id like to stay anonymous. Thanks I would like to remind parents before you go into your parent /teacher conferences to make sure your childs teacher has read up on Dyspraxia first. I didnt and I left last nights meeting with a heavy heart. Actually, Ive never wanted to punch someone like I wanted her...and Im not a violent person. This is a new year with a very demanding teacher that never took a moment to read up on my 10yrs sons disability. I assumed teachers would pay attention to IEP s. If she would have done so, our meeting would have been much more pleasant. All she did was share her concerns... which were all Dyspraxia related. After counting to 50 under my breath I calmly told her it was related to his disability. She back paddled quickly, but the damage was done. I dont wish that on anyone.
