Hi there SCARS fans, I’m Hattie! It looks like it is my turn to tell you a bit about myself this week because I’m the featured cat! Im about 5 months old now but I was found when I was very young and then came to SCARS when I was about 3 months old. Like many cats that are raised without other cats during the first 2 months of life, I turned out a bit… unique! I didn’t learn how to play properly since I was away from my mom and siblings at such a young age, so I play a bit rough. The other foster cats in my home don’t mind, in fact they think I’m lots of fun, but I definitely need energetic cat friends wherever I live because without them, my energy builds up and comes out in the form of hunting and subsequently chewing on my people’s feet and hands! We also found out that I will not do well in a home with dogs. I was adopted out once on a trial adoption by a great family that was willing to accept my other quirks but I couldn’t get over my extreme fear of dogs so I came back (which worked out great for long time SCARS cat Chaos who LOVES dogs and was adopted by his forever family and is doing great there!). Now it is my turn to find my perfect place! If you’re looking for an adorable girl who will keep your current cat thoroughly entertained (and will also have the occasional bath with you – I love water – you can see from one of my post-bath pictures!) then I might be just the girl for you!
