Hi there to Facebook, My name is Ash Allan and I’m the new owner of Wangaratta Trophies and Engravers. I say ‘new’ but I actually bought the business from Trevor and Jenny Barry in January this year. The past 6 months has been spent learning about what we do and who we do it for, but there’s a long way to go yet so please be gentle!! Thanks to both Trevor and Jenny for their unqualified and ongoing support throughout the business transition. They still own and operate Wangaratta Jewellery in Reid Street Wangaratta. They’ve welcomed their son Matt and fiancé Elise into the business this year and I know they’d love their existing and new clients meet them soon. A very short bit about me (there’s a dodgy photo of me on here somewhere….) – I’ve lived in Wangaratta since late 2004 having relocated from Western Australia. I’m married to Tanya and we have two children. Prior to taking on Wangaratta Trophies and Engravers, I was a banker with Westpac and I spent time in both Benalla and Wangaratta as a branch manager and a business banker. I’m a West Coast Eagles supporter (hey stop boo-ing!) so don’t expect too much from me at finals time this year – but next year look out!! Our family loves all forms of sport and I’m also making up for lost time on the slopes of Mount Hotham snowboarding. Wangaratta Trophies and Engravers will continue to provide the highest quality engraving, trophies and giftware to the Northeast Victorian region and beyond. We’ve a great range of trophies, awards and engraveable giftware on display and can access much more should you seek it. We are keen to win your business as long term customers as we are here for the long term too. I really encourage you to shop locally – it provides local opportunities for employment and sustains local communities – such as sporting and cultural clubs and community facilities. Lastly, I’ll update Facebook with pictures of some of our work occasionally and will also let you know of ideas we’ve got for gifts for e.g. Deb Balls, Corporate Awards and fun stuff plus the all important Mens Gifts. Yes folks – we are slowly building up a variety of mens gifts for different ages and special occasions as the boys can be hard to shop for – there’s only so many pairs of socks and jocks you can have!!
