Hi, this is Dawn Marie. I am putting out a warning that there is a new book out there that I havent had the opportunity to review but I already have grave concerns about considering the Author and previous experience with her work. I am trying to get my hands on a copy and am asking others to review it as well Francis Widdowson and Albert Howard have released an edited anthology on Aboriginal Education. After reading Disrobing the Aboriginal Industry, I was appalled because she comes from a framework of cultural deficits and assimilation doctrine. She thinks that our culture and language hold us back. Although, I see she includes many Indigenous Scholars in this work; I am requesting that if you read this book tat you do it from a place of recognizing her bias. I will have a critique of the book available shortly. Thank you.
