Hi, this is Phillip, or Nuclear, as Thomas knew me. I was his cabin counselor for his week at the cedar ridge outdoor school. I had Thomas for just one week, but that week was enough to know what type of a person Thomas was. At camp, miles away from your family in a new environment, your true nature tends to show. Thomas was my favorite kid with no competition. He was hilarious, enthusiastic about everything, always happy, well behaved, and very benevolent. If my memory serves me right, he was one of the best children in the entire camp, and he was recognized for this by having the honor of planting a tree in front of the entire camp. I remember that Thomas always had fun with my somewhat questionable responsibilities as a counselor, and if it werent for him the camp might have been chaos. Thomas kept the other children in check, he made sure that they were behaving and polite. He displayed great leadership amongst his peers, and it is obvious that he would have been leading member in society, someone we can look forward to lead us in the future. I am glad and happy that I was part of his life and an unforgettable week. There were incidents like the Poop Riot that are completely unforgettable, the Nuclear Whales Dance, the nights spent in the cabin laughing so hard that tears trickled down my cheek, the field studies where we just played Hunger games, and all other beautiful memories. These will not be forgotten, and I want to thank Thomas for being there, being a part of my life, although our paths crossed for just a brief moment. Thank you, Thomas, for making that week an unforgettable one.
