Hi, this picture is not from Ashton but Pemberton, shows my Great Grandparents, plus great Uncles Thomas and Walter Liptrot, (ie T.C.Liptrot) outside the Old White Swan in Pemberton. The building was demolished and rebuilt as the existing pub. My Great Grandparents went on to run the Park Hotel on Wigan Road next to Park Lane Chapel. In the closer pic the name of the licensee, Richard Liptrot, should be just visible over the door.
