Hi to all of the Mona cheerleaders! Monas foster mama, Andie here. First thing I want to say is how thankful I am for all of your comments of support and encouragement as well as your shared stories and suggestions. It is really bringing so much love and positivity to this experience knowing that we have all of you behind us. :) Last night/this morning at about 1:00am I decided to try something new with Mona. The house was completely calm and quite. All three of our dogs were asleep in another room. I sat on the end of the bed with a box of Milkbones and tossed a few out the bedroom door. To my amazement Mona actually got up and walked out of the bedroom door and down the hallway!!! She proceeded to cruise around the living room and dining room for a bit! The entire journey lasted only about three minutes before she was ready to head right back to her bed in the bedroom. But it was so exciting! There is more to this video but I have spared you what happened after I turned on the lights in the living room. Lets just say she handled her business! Poor girl was SO full of water from holding it in and not wanting to go in her bedroom safe haven. She also went #2 and it was then that I discovered the roundworms. As far as worms go, Roundworms are definitely not the worst case scenario. Roundworms do not pose a serious threat and the treatment is simple and very effective. She was given her first dose of medication with breakfast this morning. We will monitor closely and continue to treat her over the next few days. Hopefully tonight Mona and I will have another adventure roaming the house! Paws crossed!
