Hi wonderful ladies! In 2005, I waited in line early one morning to buy a pair of limited edition Adidas Orion TF running shoes, released in honour of Terry Foxs Marathon of Hope. Only 6500 pairs were made, an exact replica of the shoes that Terry Fox wore when he ran an unbelievable 26 miles a day for 143 days. All proceeds went to cancer research. I bought the last pair, a mens size 6 (or 7.5 for women) and OF COURSE they didnt fit! I usually wear a 10 1/2. Anyway, at Boom 997, we thought it would be awesome to get these very special shoes onto the feet of someone who really deserves them, and embodies the spirit that Terry Fox had. In time for the Terry Fox run this Sunday, watch the Boom 99.7 Facebook page for a special auction of these rare shoes. Auction begins at 8am Friday (Sept 12) with winner determined at noon.
