Hi yall! I have two separate issues I would love advice on. 1. My first son was born full term and was breast feed for 12 months. My second son was born at 36 weeks in march. He was in the nicu for 8 days at birth and had a feeding tube and then bottles of pumped milk since he could never successfully latch and get enough at the breast. Is 5 months too late to learn to relatch? Does anyone have experience with relatching and have tips to share? Or a resource for help? 2. He is also not gaining weight. The dr told me to add nutramigen to his bottles and I have been dairy free for over one month now due to his suspected allergy to cows milk. Now I am going to be soy free as well. Any success stories on mixing formula with breast milk in their babies? It kills me to supplement since I am producing enough for him I believe. (But not enough calories for him.)
