Hichilema’s Mansa, Isoka Rallies Flop Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema has recorded serious flops in rallies when visiting Mansa and Isoka in Luapula and Northern parts of the country where is party is virtually non-existent. Sources in Hichilema’s campaign team have disclosed to Zambia Reports that the UPND leader is struggling to hold successful meetings in most part of northern Zambia where his party has remained a non-entity. “When the meetings failed in Mansa, HH rushed to a community radio station and featured on a paid program but it was not helpful for the campaign,” the source said. “In Isoka, the meeting was a flop. It could not go ahead because only a few very young children were in attendance. It was really embarrassing for us” The source said there is too much deception in the UPND team who think they’ve already won the election when they are still far. According to the source, the UPND can only successfully win Southern Province alone. “In North Western, we may make just win in Solwezi Central and in Central Province, we have some strong presence in Chibombo and Chisamba,” the source said. The source says UPND were far from even getting 20 percent on the Coppperbelt while Lusaka is not within their charge and a similar case applies with Western Province. “If you honestly look at the trends now, we are not favourites… far from it. But there are people who are not telling HH the truth,” the source said.
