Hidden behind a world-renowned popular tune are multiple layers of conceptual significance. In the context of this albums depiction of the then-ongoing Bosnian war, this piece depicts what Christmas Eve feels like. Carol of the Bells accented by additional orchestration melds with militaristic electric guitars, as Serb fights against Muslim, each culture represented by its own musical form. But despite the division between elements running so deep as to cause a war, the medley is also inextricably woven together. For the album is also about a Serb man and a Muslim girl who, despite their opposing sides, are both entranced by the power of a musician playing in the country they both live in, and fall in love.
