Hidden in the depths of living matter, MIND is the most colossal power of the world, often undermined owing to man’s limited knowledge about it. Our mind is more than just a warehouse of thoughts, feelings and emotions. The deeper levels of the mind hold resources of power, courage and strength one can hardly imagine. Many a times, it is either our lack of knowledge or lack of faith that limits us from tapping these powerful resources. In an interesting brain game respondents were asked a simple question for which they had to choose the right answer from the choices given. The question was “How many countries does the continent of Africa have?” And the choices were “25, 86, 54 and 19.” 9 out of 10 respondents got the wrong answer. If you were posed this question what would be your answer? If you said anything but 54 then you are part of the 90%. So what happened here? You limited yourself to choosing the smaller numbers even though you didn’t have a clue what the answer could be. Now let us do this exercise with the mind. Write down in a piece of paper the answer to “Where would you like to see yourself 5 years from now?” Your answer, in all likelihood would be a notch or two above your current domestic status or official designation. Why couldn’t we think of something entirely different from what we are today like wanting to be the next Indian Prime Minister? This is because we consciously limit ourselves from thinking too high assuming that with our capabilities we would be able to achieve only so much. It is not our capabilities that will help us achieve, but our desire to achieve that will hone our capabilities. Our mind has abundant energy that needs to be channelized properly. So how do we do this? The simple and yet most powerful mantra is MANIFESTATION. To translate dreams into reality, we must manifest with dedication and belief in ourselves. Once we etch our goal into our mind through manifestation, our mind will take up the responsibility of preparing our physical and mental faculties to achieve the goal. For this we must be very clear and specific about what we want. There was once a poor man who wished for a wooden chair. Not just any wooden chair but a chair carved out of a single mahogany with the head of a lion chiseled on its arms and lion’s paws carved out for the legs. Within a month of his manifesting the mahogany chair, a rich man who was moving out of the neighborhood gave away some of his furniture. And our poor man got a chair – made out of mahogany with lion’s head on its arms and paws for its legs! Do not limit yourself while manifesting your future based on your abilities of today. Our universe works on the law of attraction. So if you desire something hard, manifest it into existence!
