Hidden room with a secret door. This client wanted us to create a room to store valuables that would be secure, hidden and fire resistant. The space was carved out of parts of two adjacent closets and then hidden behind a mirror. Behind the mirror is a 3 hour fire rated door and a room that is surrounded by concrete coated framing and multiple layers of drywall. The room can also act as a safe room since the fire rated door is steel with double dead bolts set into a steel frame. Of course, you have to find the room first and get past the 600 pound magnetic lock that holds the mirror closed.
