Hidden within the ASTROLOGICAL CHART of the EQUINOX (yesterday) is an incredible and rare planetary formation of 6 planets, each interconnected through 9 aspects (includes all major ones) and at the top a more rare “subtle” aspect of esoteric significance. When you look at the whole chart (first figure) the configuration is not obvious among the overall spread of the planets. But upon isolating the pattern (second figure) one can see its symmetry and geometry. As for trying to actually interpret this, well, I’ll give it my best, but such complexity is best considered in more general terms, as the array of intersecting factors is immense. Thus I’ll begin by trying to break it down some into ‘units’ of significance that occur to me as a logical approach. At the foundation of the pattern, the trine of Jupiter and Uranus signifies (at its simplest) an expansion of new opportunities, things not considered or tried before. At a physical level engineering is symbolic of this, as well as applications of new technology. At a more global level this reflects new forms of society, application of alternative ways of understanding and organizing our world. At the “beltline” of the formation is the opposition of Moon and Chiron, which naturally carries a more psychological significance, in which individuals bring out into the open (or circumstances do this to individuals and the relationships they are in) dormant or hidden ‘stuff’, like wounds, or non-integrated awareness, that carries an emotional significance and affects one’s capacity to interact with and react to daily life events and interactions. Topping the configuration is a “Septile” (one 7th of the circle) between the planets Saturn and Pluto. This aspect, in a powerful “working relationship” to the other two pairs, represents a deep, subtle and encompassing “calling” which can be understood at individual and global levels, and in particular, pointing to the interrelationship and correspondence of ‘micro’ and ‘macro’. Considering the many interpretations given to the number 7, in their similarity, I will summarize it as a spiritual journey that connects day-to-life with ultimate mission of life: micro to macro. It brings that which is natural (from a human point of view) to bear upon that which is spiritual, like the duality Heaven-Earth, whose point of completion is the end of polarity. Saturn (in one essential understanding) defines the limits of mundane life, the doorway to the transcendent, while Pluto is the largest cycle, the incarnational journey. Together they can be seen as representing the task of transformation in its most excruciatingly human form and its most evolutionary result. I have chosen in this analysis one of many possible ones, to view this planetary formation as a relationship between three axes that are fully interlinked. It is a simplification of something that carries far broader meaning, a very long conversation, which I hope is adequately summarized in this description. There are many ‘sub-processes’ interacting that offer a much more complex description, one that confers far more perspective, nuance, and things to ponder. And there is also the rest of the chart, fully un-considered in this description, with its larger contributions. In all there is much work for us indicated in this present cycle, work that, whether taken on consciously, unconsciously or not taken on at all, means a lot of movement, of confrontation, of facing things typically preferable not to face. Given the prominence of the moon amongst a group of otherwise distant planets, in the end this describes what will necessarily be a very personal process, even if you are a prominent person in spiritual, political, social or other circles.
