High Springs Police Department recently purchased several new used patrol cars from the City of Waldo. No extra money was used for the purchase of these vehicles. The city opted to purchase several vehicles, for the money that was budgeted for one new vehicle. The vehicles have low miles, & came fully equipped with lighting, in car cameras, radars & lap top stands. The equipment that came with the vehicles far exceeds the price the City paid for the vehicles. These vehicles are replacing an aging fleet, which some vehicles replaced were 14 years old, had very high mileage, & in the past were disabled while Enroute to, & on calls for service. These vehicles will assist Officers in safely & efficiently responding to calls for service. This will greatly benefit the City of High Springs, as well as the Citizens of High Springs.
