High surf advisory is in effect until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday. Moderate to strong west winds with occasional gale force gusts are feeding into a developing circulation centered just east of the Marianas. These winds will create hazardous surf of 10 to 12 feet on west facing reefs and 8 to 10 feet on north facing reefs of the Marianas today. Surf will continue to be hazardous through at least Tuesday. Residents are advised to AVOID venturing near the waters, beaches and exposed as rip currents are very life threatening.
