High up on a hillside in Iguala, Mexico, accessible only by a strenuous hike over a rocky trail, Adriana Zehbrauskas and I encountered the several pits where 28 bodies were found last weekend. Mexico is trying to determine if they are some of 43 college students reported missing after a confrontation with police, who were working with an organized crime group. The smell of decay and cacophony of swarming flies was overwhelming as was the thought of the final moments of those buried there. It would have been exceedingly difficult to carry or drag a body up there and the police believe they were brought up there and killed.
