Higher Everyday for Tuesday, January 20, 2015 TITLE : GOD REMEMBERS YOU. TEXT:“Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” (Malachi 3:16). A story is told of a student who was requested to bring a letter of reference from his former school to enable him get a plum job. He was confident that he would get a very good recommendation because he had good grades. On arrival at the college premises, all his old teachers had either retired or gone on transfer. The only means for the new principal to ascertain his old studentship was to examine his file. As he perused the pages, he found written: “He stole a textbook from the school library,” and the young man’s bad record cost him the juicy job. Like man and nature do, God also keeps records tenaciously. There are positive and negative, as well as good and bad records. The type of record God has for you will determine where you will spend your eternity. God’s records will either commend or condemn the record owner. Do you know God remembers and keeps record of all things? Only Jesus’ blood blots out sins. Get cleansed by that blood today. Challenge: Live a clean life today for a joyful eternity.
