Highlights from week two at MSES! Kindergarten was working on studying letters of the alphabet after reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Each student made their own coconut tree and figured out which letters of the alphabet were in their own name. As first graders have been studying cats in the classroom we worked on following directions while sketching on our new outdoor easels in the Forest room. Students worked in partners together listening carefully. As one student described details of a cat, the other drew it. After studying how an abacus helps students learn math, third graders painted the pieces for our new upcoming life-size abacus! It should arrive soon in the Forest room near the library TEAMS learning center. Keep your eyes peeled!
