Hiked Secret Canyon in Sedona, AZ today! Approx. 11 miles, according to the AZ Highways mag. I do have a GPS, but am technically challenged. The 3 miles on FR 152 to the trailhead was quite the experience - Jeep was awesome! Had to kick in the 4 wheel drive on the way out. First time Ive driven it on a road rough enough to need this. The red rock & rock formations were incredible. Didnt see another person till our turn around point - love hikes like that. Jonathan did encounter a retreating badger near the trailhead. Shortly into the hike, some javelinas crossed the trail in front of us, then stood off to the side grunting. Definitely got that adrenaline pumping! There was also the drone of many bees on parts of the trail. No rattlesnakes though. As for the drive through Sedona... Lets just say that I detest round abouts! Have pics. to post, just not tonight!
