Hilarious video but very true. The only reason we give diamonds when engaged is because of a very successful Debeers ad at the turn of the century. Before that, diamond engagement rings didnt exist. Also, diamonds are nearly worthless on the resale market, and worse yet, if 90% of them werent destroyed when found and instead flooded the market, they would literally be worthless, as they are relatively common.
