#HillaryClinton had recently expressed regret that the #NSA tapped German chancellor #AngelaMerkels cell phone for over a decade, something the former US Secretary of State called absolutely wrong. It just turned out, however, that the German foreign intelligence service #Bundesnachrichtendienst (#BND) also once tapped Hillary Clinton and #JohnKerrys phones last year. This puts #Germany in an embarassing position as it has waged numerous (and unprecedented) diplomatic swipes at the #UnitedStates over the revelations made by #EdwardSnowden. Still, it is alleged that the German eavesdropping was accidental and records of it were destroyed when the BND realized whom it had overheard.
