Hillarys Medical Emergency Footage - A police helicopter was called in to assist with an urgent medical situation at Hillarys last night, Monday 18 August 2014. About 8:30pm an emergency call was received from a 14 year old girl who stated she felt dizzy and could not stand up. St John Ambulance personnel attended along with officers from Hillarys Police Station and the Traffic Enforcement Group and they established the girl was about 500 – 600 metres out on the rocks on the western side of the marina. It was decided the terrain was too dangerous to transport her back to the ambulance across the rocks, and a request was made for a police helicopter to attend and winch her to safety. A police helicopter attended and a Tactical Flight Officer was lowered to the rocks. The girl was winched into the helicopter and flown to a nearby car park that had been closed off by attending police officers. The girl was transferred into an ambulance and taken to hospital to be checked over.
