Hindu family attacked, house set afire in Lalmonirhat Our Correspondent, Lalmonirhat Four members include two women of a minority Hindu family were assaulted critically and their houses was set afire by the local muscleman’s hired miscreants at bordering Shafirhat village of Bawra union at Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat at around 9.30 am today Sunday morning. Two bighas land of the Hindu family were grabbed by the gang. Local people distinguished the fire was caught on the house. Additional piolice from the Patgram police station were deployed on the spot but police didn’t arrest any of the miscreants, police said. The criticall assaulted Hindus were admitted to Patgram upazila health complex. The injured are identified as widow woman Puspo Rani Sen,68, wife of late Debendra Nath Sen, her two sons Shyamol Chandra Sen,45, Kamol Chandra Sen,38, and Shyamol’s wife Dipali Rani Sen,30, residences ar Shafirhat village of the upazila. Police said, local Abul Hossain and three his brothers were enjoying 60 decimal lands of the Hindu family showing fake land document about two decades. The Hindu family went to the court, and the court delivered a judgment in favour of the Hindu family on 4 September in 2012. The land grabbers Abul Hossain and his brothers hired about 20 to 25 miscreants for attacking the Hindu family, and the gang grabbed the land again. Confirming the incident the Patgram thana OC Amiruzzaman said, police were deployed on the spot to resist further incident. Police must arrest them who were involved in attacking on Hindu family, OC confirmed.
