Hiromitsu Endo wants people in Iwaki to rediscover the great taste of local fish. I am sure the fish of Fukushima Prefecture coastal area is of a very high quality, and tastes great. Also I am sure that the testing of the fish for Cs-137 is scrupulously done. I am unsure if testing is done for Tritium, or Plutonium, or dozens of other radionuclides that are likely in significant quantities in the waters of the coastal area. I want for the people of Iwaki to enjoy great tasting fish, and to revel in the sunlight and fresh air as a community, to enjoy the same pleasures we all enjoy in life; but I want them to do so safely. It burdens my heart to think that the authorities have not properly explained the risks of exposure to the various nuclides, nor explained just how diverse were the classes of nuclides released on 3.11. This is unconscionable. Everywhere, politicians are sacrificing their people for abstract plans, never sacrificing themselves for the people..
