His Called Listen to Me, O Jacob, and Israel, MY CALLED: I am He, I am the First, I am also the Last. (Isaiah 48:12) God has given every believer a holy calling...according to His own purpose and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. (2 Timothy 1:9 KJV) We should have no doubt about succeeding, for we have been ordained of God from the foundation. We are part of an eternal plan that cannot be overthrown. Our God is the First and the Last. His sovereignty overshadows every detail of our lives from the beginning to the end. Not only did He give us a calling and a purpose before the entrance of time; in advance, He gave us enough grace to fulfill our calling and carry us to final, ultimate and eternal success. The key is maintaining a yielded and believing heart. Meditation verses: And now I say to you, withdraw from these men and let them alone. For if this counsel or this work is of men, it will come to nothing. But if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found even to fight against God. (Acts 5:38-39 MKJV) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-30) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
