His Holiness Receives the Minister of National Reconciliation On August 16, 2014, His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Excellency Dr. Ali Haydar, Minister of National Reconciliation in the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Homs, Hama and Environs in Sadad. Were present also their Eminences Mor Selwanos Boutros Al-Nehmeh, Archbishop of Homs, Hama and Environs and Mor Dionysius Jean Kawak, Patriarchal Office Director. His Holiness expressed his contentment with the serious work of His Excellency Minister Haydar. He emphasized the importance of national reconciliation in the current circumstances when Syria is regaining its previous glory and the Syrian people is returning to the normal life he used to enjoy before the crisis. His Holiness stated that his actions reflect first and foremost his Christian duty towards all people, and his human and national responsibilities as well.
