His owner’s illness has robbed 13 year old Max the chance to live out his life in his own home, with his own people. Sitting in a cage at Manhattan ACC, Max is no doubt grieving about all those losses. Truth be told, Max has his own medical issues as well—heavy tartar, cloudy eyes, some sort of mass on his back and chest, a bruise on his ear, and some skin irritation. But he’s 13 and sweet as pie—he went through a grueling intake medical showing off his best manners. ACC has decided nobody would want a dog that doesn’t have too many years of life left and they’ve put Max on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Tonight, this good boy needs a special person who is ready and able to give Max a soft bed, some decent food, get a good vet exam to decided what can be done to make him feel better and just give Max that sense that all is not lost for him. If you’re that person, then start working on fostering or adopting Max.
