His smiles had knives in them, his laughter rang with howls of rage. His eyes were hollowed flat with his absence. If you feel personally offended by me, what makes you force yourself to skin teeth and smile? I know the answer, for i have come that way. The social contract says, be nice, and the nice of the phony self is a pale simulacrum of the goodness of your real Being. You cant help but extend yourself in love and selfless kindness, when you are being real. Don’t push it, don’t force it, let it happen naturally. - a FABULOUS song When you try to be nice , you are fake, hurtful and self-serving. Ask your loved ones, and ask yourself, when you receive the two-face from others. Stop being so effing polite. But you cant, and having been that way (and i still visit on occasion) i know it is because of the fear of being disliked. It is an instinctive fear contained in the herd animal DNA we are evolving beyond. Awareness helps, as does conscious courage.
