Historical Truth.....! Many of the Indians do not even understand and acknowledge the fact that Hindi is the language created during Muslim rule in India and at that time Hindi and Urdu was same except in religious orientation. This is similar to Muslim Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil. People in South do not call it as a different language. The term Urdu colloquially orininated from word Ordu meaning camp. This language was first spoken in the Mogul Army camps for interaction between Muslim Soldiers and local people. Mogul Kingdom officially coined it as Hindi meaning language of Hind. it is only after Brahmins of North India took control; they projected Hindi/ Hindustani as a national language to appease Muslims and at the same time Sanskritisation of Hindi took place clandestinely. In fact they created a new language (Shudh Hindi forgetting about the fact that the term Hindi itself is of foreign origin (Persian to be precise) and is not Shudh. What officially people are going to speak as Hindi in future is going to be totally different from what Muslim rulers have termed it as Hindi to be more precise by Amir Khusro the renowned Scholar during Muslim rule in India.
