Historically, BCoPD has not worn mourning bands when police officers from other states are killed in the line of duty. But given #BCoPDs closeness to this weeks New York Police Department tragedy and our partnership with #NYPD as it investigates the murder of two of its officers -- Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos -- Chief Jim Johnson has ordered the wearing of mourning bands by uniformed personnel and mourning pins by professional staff. The mourning bands and pins will be worn until midnight on the day of the officers‘ funerals.
