History Muna Tayo! MEET THE HYDROFOIL SPEED BOAT DEFENDER OF OUR PHILIPPINE SEA TERRITORY DURING PRES.FERDINAND E. MARCOS The front side of the boat seems like its floating in the air due to its unique design built in the Philippines. It has not many information what happened to this hydrofoil boats.seems like its one of the government secret projects being built & upgraded during The Marcos era.when they call us TIGER OF ASIA CAMIGUIN and SEQUIJOR These are a derivative of the PT20 that has been built in a military version. Only two units have been built during 1985 for the Philippines Navy. They have been armed in the Philippines and used as costal patrol vessels. In an old Janes book i read ( mid -late 70s), it is mentioned we had four (4) hydrofoil patrol boats- 2 of Italian design ( RPS Camiguin HB-77 and RPS Siquijor HB-76) and the other, of Japanese design ( RPS Baler HB-75 and RPS Bontoc HB-74). The first two were described for military and police patrol, the later, for smuggling prevention and used for inter island ferries. pics of 77 and 75 show them with obviously PN markings. Pls.Share..
