History The name derived by the total of 30, 000 of Sikhs that are camped under the guidance of Baghel Singh who was military general in year 1783 at the time of attack on Delhi. These Sikhs became residents in the Saharanpur by crossing Yamuna under the leadership of Baghel Singh. These Sikhs captured total of 11 lakh rupees from Baghel Singh to run the Ruhila chief and Najib ud-Daulah territory. The son of Najib ud-Daulah Zabita Khan rule the country after two sardars along with Babhel Singh occupied the whole country after crossing Yamuna. Baghel Singh was offered a huge amount of money by the Zabita Khan in order to steal the lands jointly in whole total agreement. In order to make huge collection of tax on the goods, an octroi post was set by the Baghel Singh just near the Sabzi Mandi to make collection of finance for manufacturing of Sikh temples. The most of collection was used for the help of poor people and he also not used the money from the treasure of the Government. The Congregationalists got the gift of government as sweetmeats distributed by the Baghel Singh that is now popularly known as the Pul Mithai. Baghel Singh also made agreement with the Mughal emperor named Shah Alam II that allowing him to built gurudwaras on the historical sites of Sikhs when they entered into the Delhi’s Red Fort on 11th March 1783 and also they allowed to receive in total of 6 annas in Rupee 1 in whole capital of octroi duties.
