History is being made in California--our countrys most populous state, boasting the eighth largest economy in the world, and home to the largest population of undocumented Americans. Starting Friday, thousands of an estimated 1.4 million undocumented Californians began applying for licenses. And to immigrants like me whose lives are subjected to documents and pieces of papers, a license, as Ive always said, is more than a license: vnty.fr/1wuXGld. I grew up in the Bay Area and after 10 years of living in the East Coast moved back here this past summer. I am taking my written drivers test on Monday morning--wish me luck!
