History of Wedding Vows In America - Series - In the 1990s a marrying couple might easily include these words in their vows, but today..... Someone who really loves you sees what a mess you can be, how moody you can get, how hard you are to handle, but still wants you in their life. Yes, believe it or not, up until around the year 2000, it was not unusual for a couple to include wording like above. That is to say, Someone who really loves you sees what a mess you can be. But, things sharply changed, to a positive or no fault style wording. People even stopped including things like, Until Death Do Us Part! Not even phrases like, From now until the end of time or As long as life and love exist, were included. By the end of the 90s, the change in generations had come full cycle!
