Hitting The Mark or Removing the Mountain Before You While at The Prayer Tent yesterday my friend Dottie Gracie asked me a pointed question. She asked, Whats your goal for your up & coming situation, which by the is only a week away? Before I could answer her question a lady stopped by The Tent for prayer. As I began to ponder her question I realized that I had totally not thought about and/or set a specific goal six months ago regarding my up-coming plans. You can only imagine my shock when I heard the Lord say, How can you HIT the mark, target unless you aim for it? At that moment, my now set goal, became a looming mountain before me. Here I am only one week away and NOW I have a mountain to climb that in the natural I know I personally cannot climb. What to do? For me the situation Im personally facing is totally a walk of faith. But I could have ~ should have planned better ... set a targeted goal six months back. If I had, this mountain Im now facing, would have only been, perhaps at best, only a small hill to walk over. Is your hearts desire to become an experienced guitar player? A chef? To get out of debt? To truly follow after, walk with God seriously? How can you succeed unless you make plans, set goals and then stick with them in order to accomplish the end result? One must first face the target, pick up your weapon of choice, aim, and then focus on hitting the mark. Dont wait for the mountain to appear before you. Develop and begin to move in your plan. And even if you are facing a mountain verses a hill right now, remember that Faith can move mountains if well but walk in it. And He said to them, ... for truly I say to you , if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Move from her to there. and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you. Matthew 17:20
