Hiya :) This Saturday (8th February) is the Harefield Winter Series Mini Marafun, starting at 10am. Full details and start times are available on our website: thesharks.org.uk/marafun. This is an ideal race to bring along paddlers who are new to the sport, with a beginners’ race of just 1.5 miles. For those a bit more experienced we have our intermediate 3.5 mile race with 2 portages and our 6.5 mile and 5 portages for the more experienced. New paddlers always welcome; just turn up and enter on the day. The 1.5 mile race starts and finishes below the bridge at Coppermill Lock, opposite the Coy Carp and has no portages. The other two races start and finish above the mill stream adding a bit of excitement to the more experienced paddlers and the spectators.
