Hizb pays tributes to slain commanders Srinagar, Mar 8: Paying tributes to its slain commanders, Hizbul Mujahideen Saturday said that they have offered supreme sacrifices of their lives for the cause of freedom of their motherland. In a statement, Hizb spokesman Saleem Hashmi said, “A meeting of Hizb Command Council was held in Muzaffarabad under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief, Saifullah Khalid and rich tributes were paid to Gazi Naseeb-ud-Din, Engineer Firdous Kirmani, Commander Manzoor Khan and Abdul Majeed Wani alias Gazi Illyas on their 17th anniversary.” “These commanders offered supreme sacrifice of their precious lives for the cause of freedom of their homeland and no stone would be left unturned to take the mission of martyrs to its logical conclusion”, Hashmi quoted Khalid as having said in the meeting. The meeting ended with prayers for quick recovery of Syed Ali Geelani, Hashmi said.
