Hmm... Something odd has happened to me. PART THREE!! Well, I never!!! I sat quietly on my bed. The sun glistening upon the freshly-fallen snow outside had filled me with a subtle joy. I admired the piece of jewelry as the pendant lay in my palm and the chain dangled freely over my hand. Turning the item item over, my smile slowly faded as I examined the item further. There...IN PLAIN INSCRIPTION...were the initial of whom I assumed to be the owner. And they were not mine! I was disgusted at first. Now surely Jack Thornton will have to put me in jail for suspicion of thievery! I--I know he wouldnt do such a thing. (nervous chuckle) But he could be forced to if the item was found in my possession! You may be wanting to know what the initials were. They were YTO. I will admit that I find these initials to be quite odd. Whose name begins with a Y anyway? (creases her forehead in deep thought). Well, at least this is one clue to add to my little investigation. (has a thought) Perhaps Jack would know of someone whose name begins with a Y. I should ask him tomorrow. This could indeed be an important business to undertake. I should be sure to return the item to its rightful owner...whoever they may be??? TO BE CONTINUED
