Hmm, just finished seeing THE GRAND MASTER, supposedly the most accurate historically correct depiction of Wing Chun Master Ip Man, his life and history. Everything is historically correct, except, Gong Er, the 64 hand technique daughter, of the BAGUA school. She is fictional, (yes, she is the only fictional character, but if you read the Variety magazine interview with the director, this fictional character has a wonderful symbolic meaning to the movie, everthing else, settings, clothing of the times, etc, are as historically accurate as perfectionist Wong was able to get)-link to article: dailynews/arts-and-entertainment/20130820/wong-kar-wai-does-kung-fu-in-the-grandmaster, that interview pretty neat movie, took three years to make. The main actors literally had to learn Respective Kung Fu styles, perks when working at home days/movies + work = good work. When Im out giving classes, or doing inspections, Its ANOTHER story. Happy Tuesday. Link to a nice cut of the movie: Youtube: https://youtube/watch?v=8L2YcwrfdeA and a SUPER RAD LINK to the school of BAGUA by a grand master: https://youtube/watch?v=z12uQY4RTGQ
