Hmm – its been a long day in the (rally) coalmine today – but much has been achieved and decided. Many things have been discussed today including potentially changing the vehicle we would use and the theme for the team .. but the mighty P76 has still won out in the end and so the 40 year old Leyland P76 will remain our rally car. After considerable thought and with the knowledge that there appears to be a small few who cannot see the charity and the challenge beyond the car and their own differences – we have decided to clearly define some things about our Cancer Charity Rally car and team so there are no further misunderstandings. We have decided to play to our strengths and so Ryan has taking over the aspect of management of the rally finances and control of the fundraising for the Cancer Council Charity while Rick has completely taken ownership and responsibility for the car, parts (which he mostly paid for anyway) and his own substantial stock of P76, Rover and other assorted parts which he is either donating to fix the car or selling to fund the rally trip. Of course the downside of this is that Rick was last seen laughing manically while running towards the back of the car with a spray can, a welder and an awful lot of steel .. so watch out for the photo ..
