Hmmm... Abkhazia is in turmoil, it seems. The EU considers Abkhazia part of Georgia and Georgia is supposed to sign an Association Agreement, which would automatically cover Abkhazia. The eastern parts of Abkhazia have suddenly come to life politicallly and are reaching out to Georgia now, which has got Russia all nervois, although the Abkhaz puppet government denied that it would sign anything with the EU. Moscow is calling for a referendum or other means of declaring its annexation to the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, Abkhazis are getting reseltss because of the low standard of living, high unemployment and ill treatment of veterans and have been reviving contacts with Georgia....
